Allen Meadows - Score: 91 (2022 January)

A much fresh, spicier and more elegant nose offers up the cool and relatively high-toned essence of red raspberry, rose petal, violet and exotic tea. The refined, pure and acceptably vibrant middle weight plus flavors are shaped by well-buried tannins on the long if naturally sweet and noticeably warm finale where the warmth isn't subtle. This is more interesting than the Chambertin but it's not as good as the best in the range.
